Christmas 2022 at St Jude’s Mothers’ Union
The ladies of St Jude’s, Muckamore were busy in the lead-up to Christmas. On Saturday 3rd December the ladies met in the Parish Hall for their Christmas get-together. The afternoon began with a short act of worship to mark the 16 days of Activism, followed by a wonderful afternoon tea before finishing off with a Christmas movie. Branch Chair, Irene Paget and the Branch Committee organised and contributed to the afternoon. Branch member, Joan Currie put her talent for knitting to good use by making beautiful hand-knitted little stockings filled with treats for everyone. It was a wonderful afternoon of fun and fellowship.
A few days later the Branch hosted the Mid-Connor Area meeting. The meeting marked the end of Irene Paget’s term as Area Chair and the ladies presented Irene with a beautiful poinsettia basket as a small token of their appreciation. The evening began with a short act of worship to mark 16 days of Activism led by Irene Paget and Karen Moore. After the ladies completed all the business on their agenda they enjoyed a very welcome cuppa and catch-up.
